Anuptells us ''This Fan throated lizard male in breeding plumage , in this image it can be seen that the lizard is standing taking support of the stick just to take a high point to scan his territory for any intrusion by other male . these lizard s are very aggressive and fights between males are frequent. they display their fan to attract females . these lizards are seen in Satar district of Maharashtra state India from March to May which is also their breeding season.
