Bjorn H. Stuedal is a communications consultant and photographer based in Hov, Norway, north of Oslo. Working across a wide range of photographic genres including advertising, press, PR and wildlife photography, his greatest passion lies in capturing the beauty, drama and emotion of the natural world.
Within wildlife photography, Bjorn is particularly fascinated by large predators and Nordic birds of prey. His work aims to portray the powerful contrast between hunter and hunted, capturing the struggle for survival while creating images that convey atmosphere, emotion and a lasting impression.
Bjorn's photography has received international recognition, including being awarded the title of “Wildlife Photographer of The Year” by The Societies of Photographers in 2019. He has also been nominated for “Photographer of The Year” on numerous occasions, including in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2025, achieving one gold, seven silver and two bronze awards.
His achievements also include receiving the FZS Gold Medal and PSA Honorable Mention in the International Contest of Photography Narava in Slovenia in 2024. He has previously achieved silver in the same competition in 2019 and bronze in 2020.
Bjorn's work has also been recognised in The Black and White Spider Awards, receiving Honorable Mentions in 2013, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Through his photography, Bjorn continues to explore the power, fragility and beauty of wildlife, creating compelling images that tell stories from the natural world.
