Paul tells us''I am am pleased to have been placed 2nd in the Joys of Nature competition. Last year I had 2 weeks in Grantown on Spey and a week at Ardnamurchan photographing wildlife. I booked myself into Rothiemurchus in Aviemore for 2 morning Osprey photo shoots at 4-30am, this was my reward on the second day. I had a mad rush of adrenaline when there was a huge splash in front of me, then this Osprey was clinging on to a trout for a while before it took off. This was my first sighting of an Osprey at such close quarters. The photo was taken in Scotland in mid July 2017, The camera Canon EOS 1DX with a EF 300mm f2.8L IS USM lens.''
