Congratulations to Christopher Algar with his image entitled 'Cormorants'. Christopher from Middlesex has won 6 months membership The Society of  International Nature and Wildlife Photographers.

Chris tells us about his image 'I took the photo of one cormorant apparently landing on another at the London Wetland Centre on 18/12/2013.'

He continues 'The camera used was a Canon EOS 1D Mk 4, with a Canon 500mm f4 lens set at f7.1 and 1/1600 sec. I rested the lens on the window frame of the hide rather than steadying the camera on a tripod. Capture One was used to process the RAW image. Cormorants regularly land on the small island - it's just a matter of waiting for them to do something interesting.'
