The Santa Rosa Photographic Society is a camera club for beginning through advanced photographers, and has served the Sonoma County area since its founding in 1975. Our meetings are designed to further members' interest and ability in photography. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays monthly, with a different schedule in November and no meetings in December. The club meets online via Zoom.

The first meeting of the month features competition in digital image formats in multiple categories, including travel, journalism, nature, monochrome, creative, and pictorial. The second meeting features a program, workshop, salon or demonstration. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and meetings start at 6:30 p.m. with a short business meeting prior to the competition or program. The year closes with annual awards and a program highlighting competition winners.

The club also offers field trips and social events throughout the year, and runs a mentorship program where members can receive feedback on their images and support from more advanced members. Members who do not wish to participate in formal competition can also submit images monthly to our outside judges for critique and feedback.

Members are notified of board meetings and encouraged to attend and participate in discussions of club business. SRPS is a member of the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) and participates in their Bay Area-wide competitions with other camera clubs, as well as Photographic Society of America (PSA) competitions.

The club encourages members to participate in the Sonoma County art scene and endeavors to arrange photography exhibitions featuring members' work.
