About us

MOULSHAM LODGE CAMERA CLUB

The Club was formed in 1981 by four local enthusiasts and held its first meetings behind the stage at the local community centre. One year later, as the membership increased, we moved to our present meeting place in St. Luke_s Church Hall on Moulsham Lodge Estate in Chelmsford.

Although many of our current members live in Chelmsford, we also have members from other parts of Essex and from overseas.

The aim of our Club is to provide a focal point for aspiring photographers of all ages and abilities.

We meet on Monday evenings from September through to May each year. Our Club programme

includes competitions, lectures, digital image and print shows, practical evenings and much more. Additional activities are arranged during the summer months and these usually include a long

week-end away to indulge our hobby. Help is always on hand to assist new members.

Digital image making is now the first choice for many photographers but as a long established club we also cater for film users.

Recently we have been assisted by a grant from the National Lottery Fund which enabled us to invest in some of the most up to date equipment available
