History: Club history can be traced back more than 50 years.
We are a small friendly club whose roots can be traced back for 40 years. Catering for photographers of all abilities, our members have a wide range of interests and are always willing to share their knowledge.
We meet twice a week, the formal club meeting on Tuesday evening from 7.30 until 10 pm where we follow our programme and an informal 'anything goes' meeting on Thursday evening from 7.30 until 10pm. The Thursday meeting is ideal to practice a new technique or get help with specific issues.
We also meet throughout the year unlike most clubs who close over the Summer period. During the Summer months our Tuesday meetings are held at local places of interest where we practice our photography.
We meet at Dunstablians Rugby Club.
Activities
Regular competitions, from Autumn to Spring. While these are informal in style, they are still keenly fought. In addition we place club entries in regional and national competitions.
Technique instruction nights, where we cover all aspects of pohotography including lighting, metering, editing, mounting, composition, sports photography, wildlife photography, and more. The content of our programme is driven by what our members want.
Studio sessions with professional models.
Evenings out, to local sites of interest. These are arranged during the Summer months for obvious reasons.
